Prior to our visit to Jordan, it was a series of booking and cancellation of hotels in Wadi Musa. The cost of 5* hotel was beyond our budget hence we have to stay in a cheaper hotel. Several hotels were booked and cancelled and finally, Tetra Tree was chosen.
It was a new hotel operating in less than a month during the time of our stay in August 2013. Upon our arrival, we were served with a welcome drink which was really refreshing after coming from the heat. The lobby is spacious with relaxing ambiance with natural light illumination during daytime. Unfortunately I failed to take a shot, below image was borrowed from Trip Advisor.

We went to the room, hallways are clean and well lit, room is spacious and naturally illuminated, fresh white linens and a bonus view overlooking Petra at the background.

Restaurant is at the basement and below are the chef’s selections that was served to us for dinner, selection of arabic mezze, grilled fish and dessert which was made from grounded white beans. Whenever I see the pic of the arabic mezze, my mouth starts to water, hmmmmmm……..
The swimming pool is not yet finished at the time of our stay which I didn’t mind at all as it was not my agenda for visiting Petra. Our stay in Tetra Tree was a wonderful one. Thanks to Chef Pilal for attending to us personally, the F&B service staff who were very nice to us, the housekeeping who immediately respond to our needs, the reception team and Ibrahim, the owner, they arranged our taxi to Dead Sea. Driver Hisham was very nice as well and showed us panoramic views along the way.
Personalized service and attention are the things I liked most in smaller hotels compared to the big ones. Junko and I were very happy and in the event that we go back to Petra, we will definitely stay at Tetra Tree Hotel again.
