Hexebella Walked Around Durham

Subsequent to my previous post on taking a break at Durham Marketplace, I continued my walking tour around Durham. I was enchanted by its old buildings and architecture, cobbled streets and some old houses. Most of the people roaming the place, I believe, were tourists like me who were exploring the lovely city. I found a footpath along the River Wear, it was full of greenery and the atmosphere so serene that one could hear only the birds chirping.   I also met a few joggers along the way. Restless Feet on Break at Durham Marketplace Square

Feet weary and needed a break has found a place to stop for a while at the Durham Market Place Square. The place is a spacious square with benches and serves a meeting place or simply just to leisurely hang around when the weather is nice. As I came from Muscat having a temperature ranging from 40-45C, the 10C in Newcastle was freezing for me. Newcastle lies at the north side of the River Tyne  and Gateshead on the south side. The Quayside has a promenade where one can enjoy a leisure walk by the River Tyne enjoying the view and fresh air. It is also lined with different restaurants and bars that makes the place vibrant even at night time. The huge glass […]
